MVQS McDOT2012 combines 12,741 standardized US
Dictionary of Occupational Titles Job Definitions (DOT; USDOL, 1991) along with their 20 Physical Demands, 14 Environmental Tolerance Worker Trait Job Requirements Elements from the Handbook for Analyzing Jobs-Revised
(HAJ-R; USDOL, 1972). It also includes the 75 most vocationally significant O*NET Worker Trait Elements (USDOL, 1998). These Worker Trait Elements combine to make up the 24 most vocationally significant Worker Trait Job Requirements. MVQS McDOT 2012 also includes all major USDOL crosswalks, including the updated Year 2010 SOC Codes (N=797) for all US Jobs. Occupational Density Estimates adjusted relative to Year 2010 Census data.
The WRAT-4, The Wonderlic Personnel Test and the Wonderlic Basic Skills Verbal and Quantitative Tests have been added to both the McPLOT 2012, Volcano 12R and VDARE 2012 Test Components. Dates of Last Update (DLUs) for jobs in the MVQS
McCroskey 8th Edition Dictionary of Occupational Titles (McDOT2012), reflect Vocationology, Inc. updates, changes and additions through 08/01/2012. These include: US DOL errata changes, OES, Occupational Unit Classification Code (OUC or O*NET Code), SIC, NAICS and Year 2010 SOC Code updates, as well as, updated MVQS McDOT Job Analysis Requirements Profiles and Vocational Quotient (VQ) Job Difficulty/Job Value Indices for all 12,975 jobs.


Important Note: Job Specific information in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, 4th Edition (DOT; US DOL 1977; Revised: 1991) is seriously out of date. The McCroskey 8th Edition Dictionary of Occupational Titles – 2012, 8th Edition (MVQSMcDOT2012) is the updated DOT.
